Sneem Village
Sneem is a charming village idyllically situated between the MacGillycuddy Reeks mountain range and Kenmare Bay in the southwest of Ireland. Life in Sneem happens at a very relaxed pace and the village offers shops, cafés, restaurants and atmospheric pubs in which to browse. For the more energetic, sneem offers lots of outdoor activities with miles of rugged, untamed countryside.
Sneem village is composed of two squares, north and south, joined by a bridge over Sneem river. The village is quaint and pretty, local pride evident in the colourfully, painted houses and well-tended public areas. Sneem is a regular award-winner in the National Tidy Towns Competition, winning the top prize in 1987.

Hiking & Walking
The locality is perfect for all levels of walking enthusiast from those who prefer to stroll to those who seek bigger challenges. At 215 km The Kerry Way is Ireland’s longest signposted and one of the most popular walking trails. The trails offer spectacular views of the Kenmare bay, lakes and mountains. The MacGillycuddy Reeks mountain range is located close by and provides for those who wish to push themselves a little more. Coomassig View B&B is located directly on the Kerry Way.

Golfing
The golf courses in the locality are amongst the best in the world. Within an hour´s drive you will find several top class facilities. Among these are the Ring of Kerry course, Parknasilla, Waterville, Kenmare Golf Club and a number in Killarney.

Water Sports
Seem offers all types of watersports from boating, trout and deep sea fishing to windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, diving and trips to Skellig Islands. Tuition is available for windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, snorkels/flippers, water skiing, body boards, surf boards, rowing boats.

Beaches
There are some lovely sandy beaches in the area. White Strand is only 10 minutes from Sneem. Carroll’s Cove has Ireland’s only Beach Bar! And Derrynane is a large beautiful beach surrounded by dunes. Only a few minutes away are the harbour, Derrynane house and the subtropical gardens. The famous Kerry Way walking trail runs through the area as well.

Other Activities
All types of activities can be enjoyed in Sneem. The innovative and new Kerry Geo-Park includes Sneem offering beautiful scenery and wildlife. Local Activity centres also offer horse riding, cycling, rock climbing, archery and kayaking. Visit Derrynane and Killarney National parks and visit some of out castles and forts.
